Bonners Ferry Family Photos | Karty Family
A Bonners Ferry family visited the farm a couple weeks ago for their fall family session. This is a strong family, y’all. They’ve walked through the unimaginable. Earlier this year, this mom of three lost her husband to cancer. To say that this family session meant a lot to them is an understatement.
This family photo session was the first time they’ve had their pictures done professionally since their loss. What I quickly learned was that this family is a beautiful family of faith. The joy that radiated through the smiles on their faces can only be the kind of joy that Jesus can bring to your life. Real smiles. Real laughter. Real joy.
The kiddos talked openly about their daddy. To hear the sweet voice of a young girl say, “Our daddy died” is almost gut-wrenching. And at first, I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to talk with the kids. What if I said something wrong? But I soon realized that, for the most part, they were excited for pictures, and they were excited to include daddy’s picture in a few of the family photos as well.
It is so incredibly inspiring to witness a joy that surpasses all understanding. The Karty family is such a beautiful representation of God’s love and mercy; a reminder that our strength doesn’t come from within ourselves, but through Christ alone.
