Sleepy Cream Recipe | All Natural Life Hacks
A sleepy cream recipe for the entire household. Maybe you’re a high school or college student with nothing but a list of to-do’s and sleep isn’t coming easily these days. Maybe you’re a mom who just can’t seem to relax enough to catch some z’s. Are the kids restless; refusing to lay down for the night?
Whatever the case may be, this all natural life hack will have you and your kiddos sleeping like babies. If you’re like me, you’ve become more and more aware of the ingredients in our everyday products. Most store-bought items are loaded with so many ingredients that are both unnecessary and toxic to our bodies.
Over the years, I’ve come to find many recipes that have helped to replace so many of these store-bought items using simple, natural ingredients you can find pretty much anywhere. The essential oils I’m using for this recipe are from Young Living. Which, in my opinion, is the best company out there. They are a company that cares more about the ingredients in their products than the “almighty dollar,” and they give back to their members in amazing ways.
If you’d like to know how you can get started with essential oils, I would love to hear from you. You can also check out my website for all things oily and snag your very own kit.
Sleepy Cream Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
20 drops Lavender
20 drops Cedarwood
20 drops Peace and Calming
20 drops Valor
1/2 cup Coconut oil
1/4 cup Shea butter
2 TBSP Fractionated coconut oil
DIRECTIONS: Add the coconut oil, Shea butter, and FCO to a kitchen aid mixer (or use hand mixer). Whip until it’s the consistency you like. I whipped it for like 6 minutes. Then add the essential oils you want. Whip again until fully mixed together. Add to a glass mason jar or jar of your choice. Use nightly on children or adults that need a good night rest. From my experience, applying to the bottom of my feet has yielded the best results.
Simple as that! A little goes a long way of this stuff. It lasts me forever! If you try it out, let me know what you thought about it in the comments below!
