As a Sandpoint Photographer, I have the honor of photographing a lot of young families and vacationers. However, this fall family mini session was particularly special to me as the mom is a dear friend of mine from college. Savannah and her husband, John, have been a part of my life for well over a decade, now. Savannah and I met in college. You know those people who you just instantly connect with and friendship is effortless? That’s Savannah! Her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and giant smile made it really easy to develop a genuine friendship that has, so far, stood the test of time AND distance.

She and her husband still live in Pennsylvania where I grew up. When we were full-time RVers, it was a little easier to regularly visit family and friends on the east coast. But now that we’ve officially settled down for a bit in Sandpoint, Idaho, it’s really put our friendship to the test.

I photographed this mini family session for them on one of our last visits to Pennsylvania before we stopped traveling. Sweet Emmaline wasn’t even a year old at the time, and now…she’s 2 years old! Crazy how time flies…and how far behind I am in blogging! Haha!
