Professional Headshots for Sandpoint Local Web Designer
Working with Lori for her professional headshots was one of those “small world” experiences that left us with some really great laughs.
Lori got in touch with me to create some headshots for her that would prepresent her brand well. She was looking for a very specific venue. As she attended an art class with local artist, Nicole Black of Whiskey Jack Pottery, Nicole overheard Lori talking about needing a location for her headshots. And after hearing the look that Lori was going for, Nicole offered up her own home to use for our headshot photoshoot.
But wait…there’s more
I always arrive early to my sessions so I can scope things out…especially if it’s a new location to me. Lori had shared videos of the home beforehand, so I already knew that it was going to be beautiful.
Nicole and I started chatting. At this point, I had no idea who she was. I just assumed she was a friend of Lori’s. I asked what her and her husband did for a living. Ya know…the typical small talk conversation that happens when meeting new people. She said, “My husband is an appraiser and I’m an artist.” I immediately asked her all about her chosen medium and quickly found out that she owns Whiskey Jack, which is a very well-known store in Sandpoint.
Nicole showed Lori and I around her house and all the beautiful pieces of her own art she had on display. Her modern decor style was the perfect backdrop for what Lori had in mind for her professional headshots.
At the end of the tour, I remember she said her husband was an appraiser. So I said, “Wait, what’s your husband’s name.” She replies, “Jimy.” I immediately laughed. As it turns out, my husband and I often work with Jimy for my husband’s business as a home builder.
Such a small world, right?!

Needless to say, Lori and I had an amazing time utilizing all of the beautifully curated modern spaces in Nicole’s home. We were both so grateful to her for opening up her home to us. Not only did we get some amazing headshots for Lori, but we came away with a super fun story, too.
If you’re a business professional in the Sandpoint, Idaho area in need of some updated headshots, I’d love to hear from you!
