Lakefront Family Reunion | Ponder Point Airbnb in Sandpoint, Idaho
The vast majority of my family portrait sessions are family reunions at beautiful lakefront homes that my clients rent through Airbnb and VRBO. As it so happens, the waterfront Airbnb that the Schneider family rented was a home that I had already photographed a spring family session at last year! Thankfully, this property spares no expense in landscaping. Its meticulously manicured lawn and flower boxes provide for some beautiful backdrops for family photos. Not to mention, this home has its own beach and boat dock positioned perfectly for sunset photos on the lake!
The Schneider family was such a pleasure to photograph. They were up for anything! As a photographer, that can almost make my job more difficult when at a location that offers endless options. You can’t use them all!
This lakefront family reunion was put together to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa, who have been married for 50 years. What an accomplishment! It truly is an honor to be a part of family celebrations like this. They shared with me that they have not been on a family vacation all together since before 2020 hit our country like a ton of bricks. So this lakefront family reunion has been over five years in the making!
Summers on our beautiful Lake Pend Oreille here in Sandpoint, Idaho are epic! To have a waterfront view to wake up to every morning is heaven on earth, in my opinion. I always get excited when I get another inquiry from a vacationing family who says they want to have their photos done at their Airbnb. It’s always a fun challenge to use a location you’ve never been to before, but we always make it work!
