Holiday Family Portraits | Sandpoint Family Photographer
A beautiful family from Sagle, ID contacted me to take their holiday family portraits. The Haymond family recently moved to North Idaho, and they wanted updated pictures. But, not only did they want updated pictures, they wanted them in the snow. And being new to Sandpoint as well, I was so excited to have my first snow session!
We ended up rescheduling twice. Both times, the forecast was calling for snow that just never came. It was getting closer and closer to Christmas. And as much as I wanted them to have their white, snowy session, mom decided that it was more important to just have the photos taken.
The Haymond family arrived to their session in style! The family of 6 was perfectly coordinated with jackets and boots and fur sweaters. It was pretty cold that day. Cold enough that there SHOULD have been snow. Even so, they all put on their best smiles, held back the shivers, and made it look easy!
I love capturing families with older children. Their personalities have developed, and their relationships with their siblings really shine through on camera. And when I was taking pictures of just mom and dad, the kids all piled into the car for a quick warm up before they had to be a part of the photos again. Smart kids! The Haymonds are such a wonderful family, and so easy and fun to work with. And although they didn’t get that snowy holiday family portraits they were hoping for, we were still able to capture beautiful photos for them to cherish and share with their friends and family this holiday season.
