Flower Field Family Session | Naples, Idaho Young Living Farm
Every year, the Sandpoint Waldorf School reaches out for donations to an annual auction that they hold. This year’s auction winners chose to have their family portraits taken in this beautiful field of purple Lupine flowers at the Young Living Essential Oils farm here in Naples, Idaho.
The mother, unknown to me at the time, loves Lupine flowers. It wasn’t until she showed up at the session that she told me they were her favorite! What luck! This filed of flowers really only lasts for a few short weeks in the spring. And to be honest, they were just about on their way out when we did their session. We caught them just in time! Notice the beautiful felt hat the mother hired an artist to hand paint for her! So glad we were able to make this location happen for this family!
It was really breezy that night. So, instead of starting in the flower field, we ended up finding a couple spots among Young Living’s Blue Spruce trees where the flowers could still be found as we waited for the wind to subside. And just as I had hoped, the setting sun brought stillness to the air and we were able to finish out the family session in the beautiful Lupines!
I love using this location! But because these wildflowers have a very short peak season, I usually only get to squeeze in one or two sessions a year here. It’s something I look forward to year after year.
Want to schedule your own family session? Maybe you even want to plan ahead to make sure you get to use this location next year!? Whatever your plans, I’d love to hear from you!
