Destination Family Portraits | Cara Family Visits Sandpoint, Idaho
I never thought I could be labeled as a photographer for destination family portraits. But here we are, and I am totally okay with it. The majority of families that stand in front of my lens are folks who are traveling from other states, visiting Sandpoint, attending a local wedding, or visiting family who already live in North Idaho. It’s honestly been a true pleasure to work with out-of-towners, because it reminds me of just how special a place Sandpoint is. Everyone who visits is just in awe of the scenery, the Lake Pend Oreille, the mountains, the wildlife. I will always love sharing this place that I get to call home with others; no matter where they come from.
The Cara family were such a pleasure to photograph for this destination family portrait session. They had rented a beautiful lake house that had its own dock, and I think it shocked us all when, at the end, the son said he wanted to jump in the lake with his clothes on. What a blast! And the sunset that night…killer!
