Country Family Photos for Arizona Vacationers | The Clausen Family

My favorite Sandpoint location for capturing country family photos was the perfect spot for the Clausen family and their sweet French Bulldog pups. I personally love family sessions that include pets. I am a total animal-lover at heart, and being able to capture the connection that people have with their pets is sometimes so different than capturing families with their children.

The Clausens were so were such a fun family to hang out with for the hour-long session we had together. They honestly reminded me so much of my husband’s own family. They’re fun and playful demeanor with each other and us was a breath of fresh air.

When animals are involved, I almost always have my husband join me for the session. We both drove home that evening saying the same thing: “They remind me of the Mowerys.”

The highlight of this summer family session was definitely the pet photos. The family breeds these two adorable French Bulldogs, and they wanted some extra photos of just the dogs to use for their website. I wish you could have been there to hear all the hooping and hollering all the kids were doing just to get the attention of the pups. It was thoroughly entertaining and hilarious. Such a blast!

Working with families that have grown children is so incredibly different from those with small kiddos. It sometimes feels too easy, because everyone listens to what you say and follows directions really well. Haha! But it also offers a lot more opportunities for genuine personalities to come out and be captured on camera (as you’ll see toward the end of this session).
