Charlotte Family Photos | Anne Springs Close Greenway

A new-to-Charlotte family asked me to capture some moments for them this fall.  Can you believe they hadn’t had family portraits done since before their 2-year old was born?!  Jessica was so sweet to coordinate with.  Her openness to my creative opinions and suggestions was so refreshing.  We ended up meeting at Anne Springs Close Greenway for their absolutely gorgeous fall portrait session.

It means so much to me when a family contacts me, and their only focus is updating their photos.  Ultimately, the location doesn’t matter.  Your hair and makeup doesn’t matter.  Capturing the true connections within the relationships of the family members is what matters, and that is exactly what Jessica was aiming for.  She explained that she’s not much of a decorator, and her walls are pretty much filled with photos of the children and family.  That’s seriously music to my ears.

I am so glad I was able to connect with this family.  By the end, the kids were coming up to me and hugging me goodbye saying, “I miss her already.”  Their sweetness was just too much.  This is what it’s all about for me.  Thank you, Speckmann family, for inviting me to be a part of your family.  The love between you all is so effortless, and shines on camera.
