Anniversary Portrait Session | Lake Pend Oreille, Sandpoint, Idaho

An anniversary portrait session for a very special couple. Jackie and Brian travel to Sandpoint, Idaho from Arizona every year. Sometimes twice a year! It’s become their favorite vacation spot, and this year just so happens to be their 10-year wedding anniversary! Aside from their wedding anniversary, this tenth year also marks another very significant life-changing event in their lives. Just 6 months after Jackie and Brian said their “I do’s,” Jackie was diagnosed with breast cancer. After chemo and a double mastectomy, Jackie is 10 years cancer-free!

After hearing her story, I couldn’t help but feel compelled to do something special. So I quickly got in touch with Nieman’s Floral & Garden Goods in Sandpoint to put together a special bouquet for this very special anniversary portrait session. It turned out so beautifully; single pink rose and all!

Jackie and Brian love the water. They love spending time on their jet skies on Lake Pend Oreille, so I knew we had to get them some beautiful portraits near the lake.

When asked how they met, Jackie says,

“We met in 2003 at prom, we both went without dates. When we were walking in to the venue, I asked him if he wanted to be my date. The rest is history.”

Isn’t that just the best thing ever?!? After spending some time at Lake Pend Oreille, we then head to one of my favorite beach spots for photos. We kicked off our shoes and spent some time with the sand between our toes. Our time together even ended with getting a little wet as we took them into the water for some fun shots with her long, blue dress.
