Small Rustic Sandpoint Wedding | Jeremy & Katie
Jeremy and Katie’s small, rustic Sandpoint wedding was the most perfect day. We had beautiful blue skies all day long…the kind of perfect day that Idaho summers are made of.
I love small laid-back weddings like these. Nothing is rushed and everyone is chill and easy-going. I was told multiple times, “We trust you. Just do whatever you feel is best.” I love it when my clients have that much confidence in me! It’s the best feeling ever.
So many special, personal touches went into this wedding. It was held on family property in beautiful Selle Valley of Sandpoint, Idaho. Katie rode in on a horse-drawn carriage for her grande entrance to the ceremony. How romantic! The ceremony itself had the most gorgeous backdrop thanks to the Cabinet Mountains and perfectly blue skies.
Our portrait time with the couple resulted in some dreamy images! A small property with limited shade was a challenge for midday portraits, but I’m so excited to share what we ended up creating together. I truly believe that we were able to capture these beautiful portraits in such a short time because Jeremy and Katie had an engagement session earlier this year, which made them even more comfortable in front of the camera. That’s why engagement sessions are SO important!
After some quick portraits for the family and newlyweds, we sat down to a quintessential backyard BBQ with delicious smoked brisket and all the fixings you could think of. I can still taste that brisket! The rest of the day was spent relaxing in the shade as Jeremy and Katie mingled with their guests.
