A Fun Early Morning Senior Session | Bonners Ferry, Idaho
This fun, early morning senior session was epic in so many ways. With caffeine in-hand, we made the best of the chilly morning. It’s really fun when high school seniors want to incorporate props from their hobbies and interests. Often times, seniors like to use their car as a prop, which is so much fun. Curtis not only brought his car, but we also ended up capturing some really fun action shots on his skateboard.
We have a lot of trains here in north Idaho. As I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for the family to arrive that morning, a train went through a nearby crossing close to where we would be shooting his early morning senior session. In my head I thought, “How cool would it be if a train went through while we were at this location, and I could get some epic motion shots?” Well, wouldn’t you know…that exact opportunity fell in our lap towards the very end of our time at Curtis’ first location.
Our second location was at a local wildlife refuge here in Bonners Ferry. The early morning sun filtered through the trees as we walked a short trail and utilized a beautiful open field for some portraits.
This senior session was particularly special to me because they are sweet friends of ours from church. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to serve the people closest to me in this way. We ended up also fitting in a mini family session at the end of Curtis’ senior portrait time, which I’ll share here soon. Again, just so grateful for wonderful friends and being able to capture these memories for them. It just hits a little differently when you get to photograph people you know well. =)
